Subject: Born and Raised and Ashamed of it

Hi,

After spending 25 years in this squalid cesspool of a city, I want out. Here’s why:

• Dirty sidewalks and streets in every neighborhood.
• 99% of these people are degenerates.
• 100% of those degenerates are so goddamn rude.
• Crime is high (robberies, murder, you name it).
• The city Cops are assholes (but then again all Cops everywhere are assholes).
• Taxes (sales, property, business privilege, etc.) are higher than anywhere else in Klansylvania.
• Weather is awful (it’s NEVER fucking sunny in Philadelphia).

I’m sure I forgot a few things, but I think I’ve made my point. Also, I have an abhorrence for Manayunk/Roxborough, where nearly everyone is a teenage-parent-white-trash-party-animal-dropout. All along Ridge Ave. I see these teenyboppers pushing their bastard babies around in strollers. Prove me wrong.

When I leave, it will be someplace far away in the U.S. and I don’t plan on returning.

If a philly couple gets divorced, are they still brother and sister? (or brother and brother/sister and sister) …cue the duelling banjos. Seriously Philadelphians, research has shown that after just a few generations of inbreeding offspring can often be…, well, quite “Philadelphian” in nature. For everone that’s not from philly, if you ever feel way down and consider ending it all just remember, YOUR not from philly! :) If you are from there, do us a small favour and end it quickly. I hate Philly. I’m a sophomore in high school and I have a younger sister. Her having to go to a Philly middle school kills me. I feel like she will turn out like these people. All the teenagers either smoke, drink, and just over the top rude, or have sex every day. I’m from Europe and I grew up here and I FUCKING HATE IT!!!!!! Oh my. If you bump someone by accident, they will curse you out like its the end of the world. My mom stops on yellow light(slows down) and the car behind starts cursing and honking. IT’S YELLOW. IMPLYING STOP, NOT HIT AS HARD AS YOU CAN SO YOU CAN MAKE IT. People kill others for nothing. Half my school got their phones stolen, and some of them were stolen by THE STUDENTS. And I will try to get my family out too because I know this shit place and people will influence my younger siblings and I care too much for them to let that happen.

I hate that hell hole; I lived there 10 long years! I’m now in denver and it feels like I took my first breath of fresh air. Coming here from Philly is like finding your kidnapped mother and receiving a warm loving hug. I’m teary eyed.

I realize this is cliche, but Philly is *NOT* the city of brotherly love. It’s a joke really, a slap across the face of every hard-working philadelphian by the jokesters that run the dump. Philadelphians put up with unrelenting and unhuman corporate pressure and the daily bad attitude of other demoralized citizens. I think i’ll settle on a place that loves me back, thank you. And hope the rest of people living in that dump find peace.

I find those who like Philly either don’t know better (ie: born-raised-and-brainwashed), or don’t actually live there.

I love your site, I’m a big NY fan that goes to college in PA. If you sold shirts I’d be your number 1 customer. Do you know any sites that would have some anti flyers and anti philly clothes? I’ve seen a lot of Eagles stuff but funny shirts hating on the flyers are rare. If you know of any please let me know, if not, there’s definitely a market now that the Rangers are getting good!
