I'm a Philly fan and I love your site. People shouldn't take themselves so seriously. The fact that Philly hasn't won much proves that its fans aren't bandwagon-jumpers like anyone who supports the Cowboys, Yankees, Lakers, Red Wings, etc.
Philadelphia isn't perfect that's for sure, but their sports fans definitely make things interesting. I've lived in a few different places (Washington DC, North Carolina), and I'd much rather talk sports over a few beers with people from Philadelphia than with people from anywhere else.
Well said, although I think the belief that the fans in Philly are knowledgeable sports fans is overrated. 610WIP proves that theory is wrong.

Subject: Philly Sportsfans are Phucking Morons
Seriously, what is up with the death threats and homosexual innuendos? How can you take a group of people seriously who routinely make death threats via telephone calls and instant messages? Is there nothing else to do in Filthadelphia? Recently a Buffalo radio station made reference to the fact that philly sports fans are phucking morons, and in an effort to prove it, put an ad in the Philadelphia Daily news indicating the Flyers impending doom and encouraging Flyers fans to call the station in response. Like lambs to the slaughter, or should I say a philly sports team in the playoffs, the fell hook line and sinker. The result (which can be heard, set to the "Streets of Fithaldephia," at wedg.com under audio vault), was a bombardment of moronic responses and death threats filled with homosexual innuendo. People don't hate Philadelphia sports teams, they hate their fucking pathetic gay ass moronic fans. Even if a Philly team does win a championship, this website will still have a place after these assholes light each others cars on fire in celebration and go brokeback mountain on one another, relieving the tension built up over 8381days.
Looks like someone else might be getting threats in the near future after that email.

I just happened to be thinking (seething) about the latest Flyer's
disappointment this season and typed Philly Sucks into my google search.Lo
and behold,I found a site that shows the ineptitude of this city's sports
franchises.
As a long time suffering Philly fan,I would like to thank the webmaster for
putting these stats up, especially about the Phillies.They are truly the
worst team in the history of baseball,possibly in all of sports.
It was refreshing after that loathsome year of the Red Sox and their
pathetic Curse of the Bambino.
They even got an HBO special about their poor Red Sox.It still infuriates me
to this day to hear Dennis Leary and Michael Chiklis whine about the
disasters always befalling the BoSox. Want to know suffering,watch the
Phils.We couldn't even keep the better franchise (Athletics).
Cudos again and hopefully we get a championship before the Apocalypse
according to Darren Dauton occurs on December 12,2012.

What an awesome site! I can’t believe it took someone so long to make. After living in philly for 4 years, I ame to the conclusion that Philly fans are without a doubt the largest group of degenerates in the world. They think they are such great fans, but they area really just loud and obnoxous, and don’t really know much about sports. They will be the first to boo their “favorite” team, and then leave a game befor it is finished. God I hate philly fans and their teams!

If you were, than you'd know that "Philly Sucks" is not appropriate... not in the sports realm, anyway.
The problem for us Philly fans has been that our teams DO NOT SUCK.

Born and raised in Buffalo, NY, I’ve hated Philly since 1975 when a bunch of bullies beat the most talented team in the NHL. Now on the brink of elimination I’m half a heartbeat from total elation. Even if the Sabres go no further, beating the Flyers gives me complete satisfaction. Lindy Ruff was right, the Flyers are a bunch of idiots.
Oh yeah as kid I was always a Raiders fan and 1981 was THE most satisfying Super Bowl victory I’ve ever seen.

What I think is funny is that all of the Eagles fans are like come to Philly and say that and see what happens. Well I went to Philly watched the Redskins trounce the Eagles then made fun of every person on the way out. Wow those shit heads are real tough.
